Splits/Combines/Install Packages

Evaluate existing colonies. Weak colonies should be combined with other colonies. Strong colonies are good candidates for splits. Wait until drones are flying to split w/o queen introduction (creation of queens cells). Install packages in good weather (if available) in early afternoon shortly after they arrive.

Be prepared for supering after the Maple flow gets going. *fingers crossed*

Reduce entrances on week colonies and look out for robbers. Before nectar flow is robbing season.

Pollen: Dandelion, Scotch Broom, Alder.
Nectar: Maple, Raspberry, Apple, Fruiting Cherry, Apricot.
