Though you might have had your fill of gatherings over the last two weekends, the club is not skipping the January meeting just because you ate too many buffalo wings and pumpkin pie.
January’s presentation will take up almost the entire 2 hours and will first discuss Hive Product Processing (by Ken) with a focus on rendering all that old comb and new cappings into functional wax and then Rebecca (Ken’s lovely wife) will show you some things you can do with it. In fact, she’ll probably make lotion and lip balm as part of the presentation and give away samples of something.
After this meeting we’re back into hive management – late winter (February) inspections, ordering packages, and generally making sure that the bees that can survive do survive.
See you Tuesday at 7:00.
