7:00-7:30 Beginners Session: Fall & Winter Management (Robert Clark)
Equipment, location, honey & pollen stores, ventilation & moisture.

Each month, Robert presents topics based on an annual, local beekeeping management calendar, with emphasis on basic principles of how honeybees respond to beekeepers’ actions. Click here for the beginners’ hive calendar.

8:00-9:00 Main Topic: Overwintering
(Panel & Discussion: Charles Schaffer, Nathan Rausch, Patti Loesche, Bob Combs)

Panel members have overwintered hives with reasonable success and will present their experiences with what has and has not worked. This overview will kick off a discussion about your own experiences and questions about overwintering.

Meetings are 7:00-9:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at Meadowbrook Interpretive Center (directions to Meadowbrook) and are open to the public.
