On August 2nd at the monthly meeting we will be holding the annual club member garage sales. The perfect time to get rid of equipment that you are no longer using or snag a deal on some previously loved equipment. Robert will be presenting on basic beekeeping for all the new (and those that want to be new) beekeepers! And yes there will be an apiary meeting (weather permitting) this month.
6:00 – 6:45 | Apiary – In Person Training by Charles Schafer We’ll be talking about how to make sure the bees are ready for winter. |
7:00 – 7:30 | Basic Beekeeping by Robert Clark We are coming into a potential dearth of nectar in many places around the east side. Robert will talk about what should be done to make sure your bees will survive until they reach the knotweed flow in late August. |
7:30 – 8:00 | Tea Time |
8:00 – 9:00 | Garage Sale by All Club Members Time to do that summer cleaning. If you have extra equipment that you are unloading, then bring it and state your price. If you are looking for more equipment then come and state your offer to your fellow beekeepers. |
Meetings are 7:00-9:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at Meadowbrook Interpretive Center (directions to Meadowbrook) and are open to the public.
