May 2017 Meeting

On May 2nd at the monthly meeting we will hear from Brandon Hopkins from Washington State University talk about beekeeping. Robert will also presenting his basic beekeeping course tied to this and the upcoming month.

6:00 – 6:30 Apiary Lessons by Charles
Charles (and perhaps Bob) will be in the apiary giving hands on lessons on inspecting your newly installed hive.
7:00 – 7:30 Basic Beekeeping by Robert Clark
Installing packages, feeding the bees and watching out for some beginner issues. Come and listen to Robert explain what to do at this time.
7:30 – 8:00 Tea Time
8:00 –  9:00 WSU’s information on beekeeping by Brandon Hopkins
Brandon will present on some of the research from Washington State University on beekeeping.

Meetings are 7:00-9:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at Meadowbrook Interpretive Center (directions to Meadowbrook) and are open to the public.
