April 2016 Meeting

On April 5th at the monthly meeting we will hear from Charles, Bob and Mike on how to build hive bodies and frames using tools that you have lying around the house. Robert will be presenting on basic beekeeping for all the new (and those that want to be new) beekeepers!

7:00 – 7:30 Basic Beekeeping by Robert Clark
What should we be looking for inour overwintering colonies? How should we be preparing for our packages? Charles will explain what April brings for the bees and the beekeeper.
7:30 – 8:00 Tea Time
8:00 – 9:00 Assembling Bee Hive Equipment using Basic Tools by Bob Combs, Charles Schaffer and Mike Skripek
Charles, Bob and Mike will provide demonstrations on building your hive equipment using basic tools that any homeowner has in their garage.

Meetings are 7:00-9:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at Meadowbrook Interpretive Center (directions to Meadowbrook) and are open to the public.
